“ Tomyam soup on a cold day is just a cozy thing to have. Flavourful, alot of ingredients. Warm on the tummy. Recommended. We also had snow crab fried rice (DKK169). Portion's quite big! The crab is very juicy and sweet! Shells' still intact, adds to the eating experience i guess. The rice is flavorful but if it has abit more wokhei (charredness)... would have been a level up. Recommended. Basil pork with fried egg and rice. Super salty! But the egg was very well done. Love the crisp edges. Fried wantons and vermicelli springroll, eaten with that chilli. Deep-fried twice, super crispy super shiok (yummily satisfied). Recommended. Staff was very nice and friendly. ”

“ Hands down, this is the best Thai (and Asian) eatery in Nuuk (and probably the whole of Greenland). It is a low key spot and out of the way, but certainly worth the track. The food is delicious and flavorful. The service is prompt and efficient. The staff is friendly, helpful, and kind. They are primarily doing take-aways, but they have ample room to sit in. This certainly is one of the hidden culinary gems of the Greenlandic capital of Nuuk. ”

Cabbage, carrots and vermicelli is so comforting. Has outlets if you need to charge your phone. It cost 20kr to eat in the restaurant instead of take-out. Warning: there is no hot tea (jasmin, green... etc), but there's a fridge of pop and drinks. ”

“ hello! singaporean foodie here. all the bad reviews ive read about this place made me decide to pay Siam Orchid Restaurant a visit. because i generally dont trust westerners’ opinions on asian food. the moment i stepped in i greeted the staff in what limited thai i know and that simple gesture pretty much set the tone for my entire meal. walking through the mini asian store in front, i spied so many items that screamed “this is a legit self-respecting thai establishment”. then in the dining room, it felt like ive stepped into someone’s cosy home for a meal. pro tip: dont be the noob to order a pad thai in a thai restaurant. its a foreigner dish and is rarely ever good. i ordered a simple Pad Krapow (minced meat basil rice) with fried egg. menu stated “beef” but i asked for “moo” (pork) and my server kindly obliged. and it hit all the right spots: umami, spicy, comforting. from the heart of greenland’s capital city i was transported for a brief moment to the streets of bangkok. washed down with a bottle of Singha lager on the rocks. 10/10 recommend this restaurant for anyone who needs a break from greenlandic/danish food. ”
